WORK BOOKS

Object Notes + Aeromoto

LABOR IPSE VOLUPTAS is a collection of books about the relation between craft and art. It is a growing bibliography assembled through contributions by a network of artists, artisans, designers and other cultural workers. Our aim is to establish a collective knowledge base which makes visible the often overlooked studio practices, manufacturing processes and labour conditions within contemporary art, design and craft production.

This unique bibliography is presented at Aeromoto in Mexico City for the first time and will become part of the permanent collection of the library. From November 26 to December 1, we offer a week of activities with talks, workshops, a film screening and excursions inspired by the different contributions to the library. We invite the public to enter the conversation and access the assembled materials together with us.
